Urban(ised) Landscapes

RESEARCH - LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE - PHOTOGRAPHY

About

My work focuses on functional potentials and cultural meanings of urban(ised) landscapes, examining different but related concerns around public space, place-based activism, informality, urban morphology, and urban ecology.  Originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, I received a BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of California at Berkeley.  Following a period of practice as a landscape architect and urban designer in the USA and Australia, I obtained a PhD from The University of Melbourne.  I have taught landscape architecture and urban design at The University of Melbourne, and human geography at the University of Glasgow, as well as supervised various student research projects.
